The Charlotte Motor Speedway Tracks. The Superspeedway track is one and a half miles in length and oval shaped. The first race was run in the summer of 1960, the World 600. In 2000, a special dirt track was installed at the Speedway. It's four-tenths of a mile around and made of clay. There, Sprint Cars, Dirt Late Models, Monster Trucks, and Modifieds take center stage. There's also a two and a quarter mile road course and a six-tenths-mile karting layout.
